Brussels (dpa) – The foreign and defence ministers of the EU states are discussing further support for Ukraine in the war against Russia. At the meeting in Brussels on Monday, the main focus will be on the supply of urgently needed ammunition. This is due to concerns that Ukraine could lack important types of ammunition in the near future. On behalf of Germany, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Defence Minister Boris Pistorius are taking part. The EU Commission and High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell had presented a plan for how to accelerate possible deliveries. Two billion euros of EU funding could be made available for this purpose.
