Friedrichstadt Palast Berlin – the greatest stage in the world
Extravagant costumes, breathtaking stage sets and an international ensemble of dancers – take a look behind the scenes at the Friedrichstadt Palast.
In the heart of Berlin, the Friedrichstadt Palast Theatre combines elements of traditional revue theatre with modern design. The stage itself makes a huge impression: at just under 3,000 square metres, it is the largest theatrical stage in the world. It creates a space for extraordinary approaches to staging, huge productions and technically demanding shows which have become the trademark of the Friedrichstadt Palast.
The Friedrichstadt Palast offers visitors from around the world a unique slice of Germany’s theatrical landscape: artistic, cosmopolitan and on a unique scale.
The ballet ensemble forms the heart of the Grand Shows, with 60 dancers from 28 countries – a diverse, well-trained team which shapes the stylistic diversity of the theatre. Gabriela Pernambuco is one of the dancers. She came to Berlin from Brazil in 2018 and has gone one to become a regular member of the ensemble. Find out more about Gabriela in our video:
