E.T. Edwin Industrial Company Nigeria (Eteicon) is a Toilet Tissue Production Company. We can loosely be described as a Small scale Industry which uses Toilet Tissue Jumbo Reels made from the Recycled Pulp of Waste Paper to Produce Low Grade Toilet Tissue for Low income families in Nigeria.
The name of our Product is 'Mums Toilet Tissue' which comes in four different category sizes:
Mums Guest Toilet Tissue,
Mums Regular Size Rolls,
Mums Jumbo Rolls and
Mums Kitchen Towel.
Eteicon will hold true to its vision of being a new concept with an old fashioned feel in order to produce toilet tissue product that is very soft, Highly Absorbent, Very hygienic, white in colour and very affordable which becomes a Household name for low income families across Nigeria.
Eteicon is a socially and environmentally responsible company. We are working hard to make our brands become synonymous of paper, to become the Hygiene Solution.
We strongly believe that Entrepreneurship can be used as great tool to Curb Massive Youth Unemployment, Violent Extremism, Hunger, Poverty and also Improve Sanitation/ Toilet Hygiene in Nigeria. We are so Passionate about Entrepreneurship and the positive trickling effect that comes with it. This is why through our activities in Eteicon, we have, between January 2016 till present, trained over 500 Young Entrepreneurs (70% Young Adolescent Girls and 30% Young Boys); empowering these Youths with Great Entrepreneurial Skills that will Position their minds towards becoming Great Entrepreneurs in the nearest Future thus, Creating Jobs for themselves and other Youths in their various Location this way, taking over 10,000 families out of poverty through jobs created.
Eteicon also donates 5- Bags of Mums Toilet Tissue Weekly to 5- Selected Kindergarten/ Nursery and Primary Public Schools in Our Community; and also train these kids on basic Toilet Hygiene. While focusing on Promoting Good Hygiene by encouraging better Toilet and Toilet Tissue usage habit amongst the kids. Between February 2016 till present, there has been a 75% Improvement in Personal/ Toilet Hygiene and Sanitation amongst the kids.
Goal and purpose of the project:
Aside from targeting a profitable market share, the company’s mission is to improve the welfare of the Nigerian Community, by building awareness to the necessity of personal hygiene, thus, improving the health of the community. While contributing to the development of the Nigerian Economy, the reduction of unemployment rate, the company’s goal is to produce quality hygienic paper products available to all, including the most disadvantaged, by means of health promotion and education, low pricing, small packs.
Motivation of the applicant / applicant team
We so eager to do more in order to Improve Sanitation, Toilet Hygiene amongst Kids and above all Groom and Create More Jobs for Youths in our Community by December 2018.
Through our Production Process, Eteicon produced over 10,000 bags of Mums Toilet Tissue in 2016, which served over 100,000 low income families while we hope to achieve and maintain our total annual production target of 30,000 bags by December 2018 that will serve 0ver 250,000 low income families in our Community.
Use of prize money
We will use the prize Money to scale up our activities in Eteicon, produce more, very hygienic low grade toilet tissue to achieve our projected production output by December 2018.
Also we will increase the number of public Kindergarten, Nursery and Primary schools in our community that gets our companys' free and weekly supply of 5 bags of Mums toilet tissue from 5 to 10 Schools.
