Project description:

I am a Dropout student from one of the campuses in Central Sulawesi. After passing through the toughest phase of my life, I chose to go home to build Sikola Pomore, Independent green school based on English, culture and environment. This school is dedicated for kids who lives in remote areas of Central Sulawesi, especially Donggala Regency
Every year many coastal children who drop out of school because they have lack motivation to learn and their parents’ knowledge about the importance of education is still very low, besides the economic factor is also very influential to the coastal community, so they prefer their children work than continue school.

Through Sikola Pomore, my friends and I wanted to change the coastal community's mindset about the importance of education for the future of their children. So later the community allow their children to the higher School. We encourage and educate them, we involve them to run Sikola Pomore until now.

Making School is my reflection program, because life is not just for ourselves but there is a responsibility that we have to solve for the change of society for having better life.

Goal and purpose of the project:

Goal:

• Encourage, facilitate and involve society to educate their kids through nature and culture.

Purpose:

• Providing Green School for kids and create fun learning process for kids and society.
• Engage youth to take part in educating kids and being role model for them.
• Building society awareness to keep environment.
• Connecting kids, young people and society from Village to City and one province to other province of Indonesia.
• Giving experience and lesson learn for kids as much as possible.

Motivation of the applicant / applicant team:

I want to give real contribution for society and kids in rural areas. Through Sikola Pomore, I can inspire and encourage young people to do good things in their life.

Use of prize money:

Funds from this program will be used to free up Sikola Pomore's land, purchase Sikola pomore's buiding needs, study facilities, library, Computer Laboratory. We currently have a small building that is used as a library, Computer Laboratory and a classroom. From this funds we want to build Sikola Pomore in large location and take bamboo as main material to build Sikola Pomore.

Now we have grand design of Sikola pomore, our plan after buying location we directly build it by involving local architecture, because Sikola Pomore want keep local wisdom and apply it in daily life
