Project description:

The program is organized in order to build an intervention strategy with women who are in vulnerable situations. We intent to promote employability through a sustainable entrepreneurship frame. Our proposal is based on the experience entitled “Entrepreneurship Club in the Municipality of Vicente Lopez” (http://www.elotro.org.ar/2017/01/fue-inaugurado-el-club-de-emprendedores-del-municipio-de-vicente-lopez/). It is also based on the project “Weaving our space” that take place in Buenos Aires City (https://es-la.facebook.com/tejiendonuestroespacio/). Both projects are leaded by El Otro Foundation and were successful experiences that promoted sustainable entrepreneurship and gender perspective.

The program “Sustainable entrepreneurship: promoting the employability of young and vulnerable women living in municipalities of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina” has four phases; the first one is based on an exploratory work to build a baseline on labor insertion of vulnerable young women. We will do research through secondary data and we will conduct interviews with key actors to determine the employability of young and vulnerable women living in Municipalities of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The second phase of the program will be oriented to spreading the theme through media campaigns. We will conduct a campaign in social networks, with graphic, audiovisual and communicational material, aiming to inform about the problematic and to generate impact in the personal conducts and consequently in the educational and business organizations with which the beneficiary group is related or could be relate. The third phase will include coaching workshops with tools and techniques to promote the interpersonal effectiveness. Finally, the last phase of the project is orientated on building a network of social entrepreneurship. We will search for entrepreneurs’ spaces, centers and clubs. We also will spread key aspects of sustainability and we will promote the development of personal competences to increase the employability possibilities of vulnerable groups. At the end of the intervention we will arrive to an entrepreneurship network to promote sustainability with a gender scope.
