Wie eine App Leben rettet
Mit „Ask Without Shame“ hat Ruth Nabembezi eine Plattform entwickelt, die anonym Fragen rund um Sexualität beantwortet. Wir haben mit ihr live auf Twitter ein Interview geführt.
Ihre Eltern und ihre Schwester hat die Uganderin Ruth Nabembezi an die Immunschwächekrankheit Aids verloren. „Wie können junge Menschen in Afrika besser über Sexualität informiert werden?“, fragte sich die 21-Jährige vor einiger Zeit. Mit Hilfe des von einem Deutschen gegründeten Vereins Jangu entwickelte sie die Plattform „Ask Without Shame“. Sie beantwortet anonym Fragen über sexuell übertragbare Krankheiten, Schwangerschaft, Verhütung oder den eigenen Körper. Im Februar 2017 besuchte Ruth das Accelerator-Programm F-LANE des Vodafone Instituts in Berlin, ein sechswöchiges Lernprogramm speziell für weibliche Gründerinnen. In einem Interview auf Twitter hat Ruth live Fragen zu ihrem Projekt und ihrer Zeit in Berlin beantwortet.
