New perspectives
Short films created by students bring to life the results of the Legacy Study. A competition honours the best works.
Inspired by the findings of the Legacy Study, Deutsche Filmakademie Produktion (DFA) called for entries to a short-film competition: “The World We Wish for. Films for the Legacy Study”. The project is supported with funds from the Federal Foreign Office. The works show the filmmakers' individual artistic perspectives.
A jury selected 22 films that deal thematically with the findings of the Legacy Study and with the image of Germans at home and abroad. The productions include not only traditional short films, but also documentaries and animated films. The members of the jury were the actor Aylin Tezel, director Jakob Lass, video artist Julian Rosefeldt, filmmaker Uli Gaulke and producers Cosima Maria Degler and Viola Jäger.
