Germany’s benchmark index, the DAX, reached a record high on Monday. It climbed in the morning to 25,912.59 points - exceeding the high of 25,900.10 points achieved in early July 2026. By close of trading, the DAX had gained 1.45 percent to reach 26,001.31 points. Previously, it had risen to almost 26,100 points. Hopes of renewed talks between the US and Iran aimed at ending the war pushed the DAX to its record level on Monday after a four-week consolidation period. The DAX has also made further gains today (Tuesday), posting another all-time high. Shortly after trading began, the German benchmark index was 0.8 percent up at 26,218 points.
