SOLUTIONS FOR TOMORROW’S WORLD. Siemens is advancing ecological renewal with the strength of a global business group. The Munich-based company is not only particularly strong in the energy efficiency and wind energy sectors, but also in the field of smart grids. Its environmental division concentrates solutions along the electricity value-creation chain: Siemens technology enables green electricity generation, low-loss electricity transmission, smart electricity storage and distribution, and efficient electricity consumption. In 2013 the division accounted for 43% of an overall turnover of 75.9 billion euros.
