Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf now has a branch in Ethiopia where it is studying tropical diseases in a special institute.
NEW ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAMME. AIDS, malaria and cholera are all serious diseases. Many people in Africa have several such infections at one and the same time. Scientists at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf are investigating how tropic diseases influence one another. In Ethiopia they have even set up a special institute, the W. Hirsch Institute for Tropical Medicine. It is named after its patron and provides further training for African colleagues.
