Supporting investment
The new Agency for Business and Economic Development supports German firms’ commitment to economic progress in emerging and developing countries.
Many German companies already contribute to economic and social progress in developing countries. A new point of contact has now been set up at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to strengthen this kind of commitment: the Agency for Business and Economic Development primarily advises small and medium-sized enterprises. It is supported by DEG (Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft) and the German development agency GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit).
