Yet another world champion title: Germany is the world’s most respected nation. According to the Anholt-GfK Nation Brands Index, it ranks first, ahead of the United States and France. “Germany has obviously profited not only from its outstanding achievement in the FIFA World Cup, but also from its leading role in Europe, its strong economy as well as the responsibility it continually assumes at international level,” says Simon Anholt, the British political consultant who developed the ranking concept.
