German technology for Canadian towers
The German air traffic control authority (DFS) is impressing North America with PHOENIX.

PHOENIX is something special: This radar data processing system developed by DFS, the German air traffic control authority, can, amongst other things, store 3,000 airplane routes simultaneously and allows for positions both in the air and on the ground to be displayed in the tower. In the near future, this system, will also be used in all seven air traffic control centers run by NAV CANADA.
