www.cogeril.de – is the name of the portal that provides a wealth of information on topics relating to German-Israeli scientific cooperation and presents grants opportunities and possible forms of collaboration. The website primarily targets scientists from both countries.

Since it was set up in 2008, the German-Israeli Year of Science and Technology, the information portal has emerged as the first port of call for academics from this target group. The relaunched portal has been online since February 2015 – to coincide with the start of research in the year marking 50 years of German-Israeli diplomatic relations – and offers a more attractive interface that is easier to navigate.

Alongside current information, for example about conferences, it features well-researched background articles, for example on the Israeli and German research worlds. The various fields of cooperation are clearly divided into five groups: Environment and Energy Research, Key Technologies, Life Sciences, Professional Training and The Humanities and Social Sciences. Every group is subdivided into other areas, which are presented at length and in detail.

Federal Ministry of Education and Research’s International Bureau headquartered at the German Aeronautics and Space Research Centre (PT-DLR) is responsible for the information portal.
