The successful director will soon make her debut at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus.
Delayed première. The acclaimed German director and new manager of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg had to postpone her first première from November 2013 to mid-January 2014. The main stage has to remain closed for this time due to an accident. But then Karin Beier will show a sequence of ancient Greek tragedies called The Furies. Great material for a woman who, more than most directors, is a master of the powerfully existential, yet socially critical stage spectacular.
