 ZEDD

One of the world’s most successful musicians and producers from Germany is ZEDD. Born in Saratov in Russia and raised in Kaiserslautern in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, this Russian-German DJ and producer moved at an early stage in his career to Los Angeles in the USA. These days, he performs to audiences of tens of thousands all over the world. In his capacity as producer, he has already collaborated with Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. He has also made a name for himself as a solo artist, however; in 2014, for example, he won a Grammy in the Best Dance Recording category for his single “Clarity”.

Cubeatz

Cubeatz is a producer duo comprising the twin brothers Kevin and Tim Gromringer. From the small Swabian town of Holzgerlingen in Germany, they have achieved global renown, already bagging 32 platinum awards by the beginning of 2023. The Cubeatz sound features for instance in hits like Goosebumps and Sicko Mode by the US rapper Travis Scott. Starting out in 2010, the two brothers first collaborated with German musicians such as Fard and Kollegah - since 2015 they have worked with international stars. Cubeatz tend to be rather publicity shy, give virtually no interviews and also keep a comparatively low profile on social media. This is somewhat unusual, particularly in the rap scene. Cubeatz prefer to let their music do the talking.

Pvlace

Pvlace, whose real name is Denis Berger, has rapidly become one of the most successful beat producers in the USA. Born in Heilbronn in 1996, the musician studied at the Musikschule in Stuttgart, though a career in classical music wasn’t necessarily his dream. Ever since he had watched rap videos on MTV as a child, he had wanted to become a rap producer. He got hold of the e-mail address of the musician Southside, whose label 808 Mafia had already produced such big stars as Kanye West and Jay-Z. Berger messaged him some of his tunes along with his phone number. A week later, he received a call and Southside had him flown into Los Angeles. The rest is history. Since then, artists like Wiz Khalifa, Young Thug, Migos and Future have rapped to his sounds.
