School wins environment competition
Ananda College in Colombo is receiving 30,000 euros to build a solar installation.

Ananda College in Colombo, Sri Lanka, has won a competition on renewable energies financed by the Federal Foreign Office. The students’ submission to construct a solar energy system for the school’s buildings and to install the school’s own waste management system was chosen as the winning proposal. The prize money of 30,000 euros will be used to implement the project.
