Studying World Heritage
TU Cottbus has had a UNESCO Chair of Heritage Studies since 2003.
Cottbus has trained researchers with doctorates in World Heritage: Brandenburg University of Technology has had a UNESCO Chair of Heritage Studies for ten years now. In 1999 the university introduced a corresponding international Master degree programme, making it a pioneer in the subject. Many of the 250 graduates since then now work in monument and nature conservation.
