The German Sport University in Cologne is coordinating a European project on the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease.

18.01.2016

Alzheimer’s disease is regarded as an insidious disease. People who are severely affected can hardly cope with everyday life any more. The German Sport University Cologne is running a European project called Neuroexercise (“Denksport” in German) with public funding worth 1.3 million euros. The focus is on the effect that moderate endurance training has on the progression of the disease. Researchers from Belgium, Ireland and the Netherlands (among others) are also involved.
