Free parking is to provide a new incentive for electric cars and car sharing.
The Federal Ministry of Transport plans to give precedence to the technologies of the future. It aims to support electric cars and car sharing by allowing free parking for these vehicles. New legislation is currently being drafted. Municipalities will be able to designate appropriate parking spaces, similar to those for taxis.
