Til Schweiger gets involved
The actor Til Schweiger is supporting numerous projects for refugees through his foundation.
The German actor Til Schweiger had great plans. He wanted to build his own refugee residence and so he set up the Til Schweiger Foundation, which is supported by numerous prominent figures from politics, music, sports and theatre. According to media reports, however, there will be no refugee residence for the moment. Instead, the foundation is active in many other ways for refugees: for example, it supports an integration programme for refugee children, a child care facility in a refugee reception centre and German classes for asylum seekers.
