ACROSS BORDERS. Germany and Greece are to invest more than 10 million euros in joint research projects. Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research, which is headed by Johanna Wanka (photograph), expects this collaboration to improve cohesion in Europe and generate fresh momentum for prosperity and growth. The 20 bilateral projects will see many disciplines working together, ranging from medicine, energy and information technology to the humanities and social sciences.
