German becomes Fed’s top advisor
Thomas Laubach prepares debates on monetary policy.

German economist Thomas Laubach has been appointed to the post of one of the most important advisers to US Federal Reserve President, Janet Yellen. As the new Director of the Federal Reserve’s monetary affairs section he is responsible for preparing debates on monetary policy. From 2008 through 2012 Laubach was professor at Goethe-Universität and the House of Finance in Frankfurt/Main.
