Project description:

Y2Y provides for youth networking opportunities, professional development and personal growth as a leader, training and community engagement through actions by means of international and regional summits, monthly talks with prominent speakers and online business incubator for socially-beneficial ideas and projects (Y2Y Action Hub).
We close the gap between nations by networking and engaging in joint community projects youth from all over the world. We have created a universal online incubator for socially-beneficial projects that serve as the platform for collaboration, professional growth, and increscent of leadership capacity. The combination of all activities addressing youth development and active participation in civil society and community.

Goal and purpose of the project:

By providing a set of unique opportunities during Y2Y Summits, training during the Summer School and 24/7 professional tools and materials provided by the peers of the online incubator, we are able to inspire, engage and activate youth whether they are from Brazil or Sub-Saharan Africa. We propose a complex circle of idea conceptualization, sustainable project management, and effective leadership within it, team and volunteer/HR management, provision of full web support and education to manage a high-quality multitasking online platform, development and implementation of communication and PR strategies, event organization and capitalization of socially-oriented enterprises

Motivation of the applicant / applicant team:

We believe that this award will give us an opportunity to complete the main digital product of the organization (Y2Y Action Hub) that will fully address the problem of youth activism on the local level as it will enable all necessary tools and expertise as well as detailed guidance, IT support, design and strategies for sustainable performance of the projects and initiatives. Summits and the constant training programs will add new resources to the incubator and will ensure its development as an effective mechanism.

Use of prize money:

Within the next 6 months after the award, Y2Y will be able to start the development of the AI core of the incubator and complete the design of the interface as well as the main coding work. We have already outsourced competent IT developers and designers.
Within the year Y2Y will purchase a secured server for approximately 10,000 users. By this time we will finish all the testing of the system and will give an access to the young leaders in our database (about 4,500 contacts) to use it for self-development and as a job platform.
