Pistorius visits partners in the Indo-Pacific.

During talks in Japan, Singapore and Australia, discussions are expected to include strengthening their strategic dialogue.

Berlin (dpa) – Defence Minister Boris Pistorius is seeking to further expand security cooperation with partners in the Indo-Pacific. From today, he will visit Japan, Singapore and Australia. According to the Defence Ministry, talks will focus on issues including the rules-based international order, safeguarding maritime routes, upholding international law and the region’s importance for global value creation and supply chains. Pistorius also intends to discuss the security situation in the region, the expansion of strategic dialogue and cooperation with the armed forces and defence industries of partner countries.
