From Airbus to Tata Motors

German manager Günter Butschek is the new CEO and Managing Director of Tata Motors.

In February 2016, the German manager Günter Butschek became the new CEO and Managing Director of Tata Motors, India’s largest car maker. He is in charge of business in India and on the world market. Most recently Butschek served as Chief Operating Officer at Airbus Group. Before that he spent 25 years in senior management positions at Daimler – among others, as head of the China joint venture Beijing Benz. The Board of Tata Motors also includes the German manager Ralf Speth, who is responsible for the premium segment with the 
Jaguar and Land Rover brands. Carl-Peter Forster, the former Board Chairman at Opel, also headed Tata Motors from 2010 to 2011.
