TRADITION AND INNOVATION. US car maker General Motors is investing four billion euros in Vauxhall und Opel to ensure its UK and German subsidiaries remain competitive. Opel is confident in the success of 23 new models – from SUV to cabriolet – and 13 new engines. They include the recently launched Opel Adam (photograph). Although the name honours the founder of the 151-year-old Opel company, this new model offers state-of-the-art vehicle technology with innovative features like automatic parking assistance.
