Viewing Europe from new perspectives
An association of international press cartoonists, “Cartooning for Peace” won the 2015 Franco-German Prize for Journalism.

Their witty illustrations remind us that respect for human dignity is a universal right – irrespective of religious affiliation and other cultural differences. The international cartoonists of the organisation “Cartooning for Peace” were awarded the 2015 Franco-German Prize for Journalism for their contribution to greater tolerance and respect. The Young Journalist Prize went to Änne Seidel and Markus Dichmann (photo) for their report on Jewish life in Alsace. Since 1983, the Franco-German Prize for Journalism has paid tribute each year to authors or editorial departments whose work contributes to better understanding between Germany, France and their European neighbours.
