Fack ju Göhte has become one of the five most successful films in Germany since reunification.
TOP MARKS FOR SCHOOL COMEDY. The title is daring, and the spelling is very unconventional. Even so, audiences are still giving Fack ju Göhte top marks. In its first three months in German cinemas, more than 6.7 million viewers watched the film about the young assistant teacher, Zeki Müller, whose unconventional teaching methods win the hearts of his students from socially disadvantaged families. This puts the comedy by author and director Bora Dagtekin in the list of the five most successful German films since the country was reunited, and it has even outranked Good Bye, Lenin!
