UNESCO collects testimonies to human history from Germany, too.

He who writes, stays, says a German pro­verb. The signatories to the Two-plus-Four Treaty (photograph) which enabled the 
reunification of Germany in 1990 were also aware of that. UNESCO has been recording precious testimonies to human history in a Memory of the World Register. Other German contributions include the Gutenberg Bible and Goethe’s literary estate, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and the Nebra Sky Disc.
