Computer linguist Josef van Genabith wants to improve the quality of machine translations.

05.07.2016

Even computers sometimes find it difficult to learn grammar, especially when dealing with complex languages like German. As a result, machine translations
often contain errors – something which German computer linguist Josef van
Genabith is keen to change. He is working with researchers all over Europe to improve machine translations. The idea is for computers to recognise and learn from patterns in huge collections of texts.
