The Bayer Science & Education Foundation has been a collaborative partner of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation since 2013. The Bayer Group foundation funds ten fellowships for postdoctoral researchers in the life sciences and medicine. The first generation of Humboldt Bayer Fellows includes Dr. Titiwat Sungkaworn. The scientist from Thailand is conducting postdoctoral research on G protein-coupled receptors in the cell membrane at the Institute for Pharmacology and Toxicology of the University of Würzburg. The collaboration with Bayer has opened up new prospects: “I have gained knowledge and experience of a world-class pharmaceutical company. That will help my career a great deal.”
