Promoting football
Former German national football team member Manuel Friedrich played in the new Indian Super League.
Travelling to training sessions in a rickshaw was another reason why playing in the recently established Indian Super League was an adventure for former national team member Manuel Friedrich. Although he and his team Mumbai City FC didn’t win the championship during the season from October to December 2014, he gained lots of experience – and helped to promote football. That was the goal of the new soccer league. After all, India is currently 171st in the FIFA World Ranking.
