Have your say on German foreign policy
Citizens can closely monitor German foreign policy via a new Federal Foreign Office website.
What is Germany’s role in Europe and the world? How should this role develop in the future? Where must German foreign policy set priorities? In view of increasing globalisation, Germany needs to be constantly re-assessing and adjusting its position, creating new networks and building new communication channels. Citizens, in turn, are being called upon to critically and constructively monitor this process and to give policymakers feedback on what they do. A new website set up by the Federal Foreign Office is making this interaction easier. At Review 2014, users can find articles by international experts assessing Germany’s foreign policy. Citizens can discuss these contributions in commentaries or via Twitter and formulate their own ideas and points of view. The website also continuously provides information on public discussions with Foreign Office representatives all over Germany.
