Greater AI cooperation with India

Following the AI summit in India, Germany’s Digital Minister Karsten Wildberger expressed satisfaction with the agreements reached there.

New Delhi (dpa) – At the end of his visit to the AIsummit in New Delhi, Germany’s Digital Minister Karsten Wildberger said he was impressed by people’s openness to technology in India and satisfied with the outcome. “The enthusiasm and will to shape the future is very, very visible,” he told journalists.

At the international meeting of heads of state and government, ministers and tech leaders, Germany and India had agreed to intensify their cooperation in the field of AI. Among other things, this is about making it easier for Indian programmers to work in Germany and AI cooperation in the areas of production, mobility, energy, health and agriculture.

“We already have very, very good relations with India, and we can now expand these,” said Wildberger. He explained that both countries are united by the topics of security, open standards and technology sharing. “And we will now pursue very concrete cooperation on these issues.”
