IFA 2026 opens doors to public
Robots, smart kitchen gadgets and AI applications are on display at the leading IFA tech trade fair in Berlin.
Berlin (dpa) – IFA 2026, the world’s largest home and entertainment tech show has opened its doors to the public in Berlin. Over 1,900 exhibitors are showing off their products at this year’s convention. For several years, IFA has sought to engage with younger audiences, so this year’s programme includes lifestyle services, influencer zones and wellness and beauty tech. Developments in AI are another of this year’s hot topics, as are humanoid robots.
Robotics is an issue of great importance to Germany, said Federal Digitisation Minister Karsten Wildberger before a tour of the IFA. The minister stressed that the connection between software and artificial intelligence was an aspect that set Germany apart as an industrial nation.
IFA runs until Tuesday, with doors open from 10 am to 6 pm. Event organisers hope to see around 220,000 visitors attend the convention, in line with last year’s numbers.
