An estate as a refugee haven
The Peter Maffay Foundation has bought an estate in Bavaria where traumatised children will live. Until then, it is open for refugees.

Peter Maffay sees himself as a rock musician, but away from the stage his tones are mellower. Through his Peter Maffay Foundation, the Romanian-born musician provides care for disadvantaged children. The Foundation has now acquired an estate in Bavaria, where traumatised children will live. Until things develop, the estate is available for refugees.
Over the winter, when it is cold and wet, about 20 refugees should be able to live “in dry and – it must be said – modest, but decent conditions,” said Maffay on Bavarian radio.
