CHARTBREAKERS OF THE BLOGOSPHERE. German blogs used to be seen as private online diaries. Now, however, their reputation has changed. Websites like Der Postillon or Netzfrauen have long since risen to the higher blogosphere. They are so successful that they even earn their founders a living. The range of subjects covered by German blogs is enormous – politics, travel, cars, fashion, you name it. The German Blogcharts and the Rivva website provide an overview of the most popular ones. Few German bloggers have influenced political discussions up to now. One exception is Sascha Lobo. He recently caused a stir by claiming that the Internet is broken.
