Working in the field and beyond: these five Master’s programmes that are related to agriculture are particularly interesting.
Technical University of Munich:
AgriFood Economics, Policy and Regulation (Master)
There is far more to agriculture than fields: in consideration of the internationally interlinked agriculture and food sector, the Technical University of Munich launched its degree programme AgriFood Economics, Policy and Regulation in late 2024. Graduates of the programme that is unique in Europe are qualified for jobs in the agricultural and food sector, as well as for international political work and research activities.
University of Göttingen:
Agricultural Sciences (Master)
The Agricultural Sciences programme at the University of Göttingen is taught in German, however, the course is also addressed at international students. The university is located in Lower Saxony and has an outstanding reputation for its degree programmes in the area of agriculture. Students learn about key issues related to agriculture and their impact on the society, economy and environment.
University of Hohenheim:
Agricultural Sciences in the Tropics and Subtropics (Master)

University of Kassel:
Ecological Agricultural Sciences (Master)
The agricultural sciences faculty of the University of Kassel, that is based at the university’s branch campus in the small town of Witzenhausen, attracts many international students. The world’s first ecological agricultural sciences degree programme was launched here in 1995. The German-language Master’s programme has become well established in the past three decades and prepares students for agricultural professions, as well as areas such as trading, food control, and machinery and tool design.
Anhalt University of Applied Sciences:
Food and Agribusiness (Master)
From field to table: the Food and Agribusiness degree programme at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences that is taught in German and English focusses on the role agriculture plays in food production. Students explore international trends in production, processing and distribution of agricultural and food products.
