Germans often victims of online bullying
EU survey puts Germany ahead of France - other countries much less affected
Vienna (dpa) - In Germany, in an EU-wide comparison, a particularly large number of people have had experiences of bullying on the Internet. 23 percent of the citizens interviewed by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) stated that they had been harassed online at least once in a five-year period. This is the highest figure in the EU, ahead of France with 22 percent. People in Portugal and Italy, on the other hand, hardly ever received insulting e-mails or threats electronically. The survey covered 35,000 people in the EU, Northern Macedonia and the UK.
