Who’s wearing what? Berlin Fashion Week gets underway
Just as the summer heat kicks in, the professional world of fashion looks at the latest trends. Berlin Fashion Week began yesterday - addressing some unusual topics.

Berlin (dpa/d.de) - Fashion Week got underway in Berlin yesterday, showcasing this summer’s latest collections and trends. According to the organisers, 36 show formats will be presented until Thursday, including by regular guests such as Marc Cain, Esther Perbandt and Anja Gockel. The goal of Berlin Fashion Week is to combine fashion and art with issues such as sustainability, inclusion and the promotion of talent. For example, the new collection by Clara Colette Miramon is entitled "Care" to highlight the work done by caregivers (Foto).
To open Fashion Week, the Berliner Salon on German fashion and design was also staged at the Museum für Fotografie. The group exhibition is open to visitors from Tuesday until 6 July.
On Wednesday, Kilian Kerner will be addressing a serious topic. His show is entitled “GDR. The Stolen Children”, which is about children kidnapped in East Germany, according to the announcement. Alongside Kerner’s collection, fashion by Danny Reinke and Marcel Ostertag will also be presented.
