Foreign Minister Heiko Maas visits British counterpart Raab
Talks deal with Hong Kong and relations with China as well as Nato and Iran
Berlin - Germany works closely with Britain in many areas, despite the Brexit: in the United Nations and Nato, or together with France in its Iran policy. German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas intends to address these issues and a whole range of bilateral questions during a visit by his British counterpart Dominic Raab. Another important topic of the talks will be relations with China in view of developments in Hong Kong, where Great Britain as a former colonial power is heavily involved. The Foreign Ministers will also discuss Russian influence in Europe. For Maas, this is his first visit to Chevening House, the guest house of the British Foreign Office, since Raab took office.
