re:publica 2025 kicks off

re:publica - Europe’s largest digital society conference - begins in Berlin today. This year’s motto is “Generation XYZ”.

Berlin (d.de) – Starting today, the conference re:publica will be bringing the generations together for three days - this year’s motto being “Generation XYZ” - to discuss the pressing questions of our time. The focus will be on topics such as digitisation, artificial intelligence, freedom of information and data privacy. The role played by tech giants from the US will also be on the agenda.  

Visitors can expect an extensive and wide-ranging programme of events on 23 stages, including 650 sessions and more than 1,100 speakers from the fields of business, research, society and politics. Those who have agreed to take part include German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, Digital Minister Karsten Wildberger and Labour Minister Bärbel Bas. Germany’s new Youth Minister Karin Prien will talk about how young people can be better protected online.  

Since 2007, republica GmbH has been staging the re:publica Berlin festival for the digital society - the largest conference of its kind in Europe.
