Berlin (d.de) - The 2025 German Entrepreneur Award has been presented in several categories in Berlin. The jury voted Munich-based company PlanQC as the winner in the category StartUp. PlanQC develops quantum computers that are based on neutral atoms and operate at room temperature. The start-up team is thus translating the research work being done at the Max Planck Institute into industrial applications.

The category Rising Star was won by Neura Robotics, which is based in Metzingen near Stuttgart. The firm develops and produces cognitive robots that combine hardware, sensors, software and artificial intelligence. Not only are they able to handle precise mechanical tasks, they can also actively perceive their environment.

The Lifetime Achievement award went to Hans Peter Stihl. Having spent five decades at the helm of family-run tech company Stihl, he has played a key part in shaping Germany’s economic history.

The German Entrepreneur Award is presented by Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Sparkassen, ZDF and Porsche.
