Schwibbögen: a Christmas woodcraft from the Erzgebirge mountains

As Christmas approaches in Germany, it’s time to decorate. That also means getting out the traditional hand-made woodcraft - including pyramids, nut-crackers and the famous Schwibbögen, or decorative candle-holders. German craftsmen and women have managed to keep the tradition of this old miners’ art alive.
